The Case for Safety Leadership

Engineering context

Engineers and the Australian Harmonised Work Health and Safety Law

This webinar will present the need to develop and uphold Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practice to comply with Australia’s harmonised WHS laws. It will explore the role that behaviour, as a significant differentiator, plays in meeting this challenge.

An industry facilitator will explore how workplace accountabilities for safety have shifted, presenting historical data on the safety outcomes of high-risk industries against global safety practices.

The webinar will reference the legislation and penalties within the Australian harmonised WHS laws, that set out the accountabilities of workers, managers and leaders at all levels of business.

Upon completion, participants will understand significance of achieving a “Safety First Culture” and the Safety Leader in meeting these accountabilities.
