MODAPTS stands for MODular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards. It’s a language system used to analyse the way work is performed and identify ways to increase productivity through improved methods and workplace design in the engineering profession.
Because it ensures tasks are constructed in detail and with great accuracy, MODAPTS provides standards that are transparent and less likely to lead to conflict.
After completing this two-day course you will hold a clear understanding of the MODAPTS system, understand the benefits of MODAPTS compared to other systems (such as stopwatch studies), be able to set standards that are fair and accurate, and have the ability to use MODAPTS as a tool to provide suitable work for employees with disabilities and/or those returning to work on light duties.
Each participant will receive a copy of the textbook Heyde's MODAPTS as part of their registration. It will be used as part of this course.
