Mentoring and Coaching

Engineering context

Coaching and mentoring, although sometimes commonly confused, are in fact two quite separate forms of workplace guidance.

This one-day workshop makes a clear distinction between the two. Coaching is focused on job performance within a specific role; mentoring has an emphasis on supporting an individual’s personal goals. As a participant in this workshop, you will become better at both.

You’ll become familiar with effective mentoring and coaching approaches. You’ll also learn important coaching and mentoring techniques such as listening and questioning, discover new ways to share your knowledge and experience, as well as develop a structure for your mentoring and coaching role.
