This online course is delivered by Global Sustainable Energy Solutions, an Australian leader in renewable energy engineering, training and consultancy specialising in photovoltaic technology.

As newer technology leads to improvements in efficiency and less expense for consumers, solar becomes a more viable source of energy to fossil fuels.

This course provides participants with a sound understanding of the system components for a grid connected photovoltaic system. Understanding how to combine these components and how to ensure that the installation of the system equipment meets Australian standards. In addition, the course covers system output optimisation, how to assess a potential installation site, solar radiation and system economics.

Upon completion of the course participants can apply for Design Accreditation from the Clean Energy Council. (As an applicant, you’ll need to also provide proof that you have completed the equivalent of 'electrical basics' at university or a similar level.)
