Business Communication

Engineering context

Employees in any industry, including the engineering profession, need business communication skills. The ability to articulately, rationally and courteously interact with other members of a team directly influences productivity, output and the overall wellbeing of those who work within an organisation.

This blended workshop will help participants communicate more effectively with colleagues, managers and clients. It will introduce the skills needed to share ideas successfully with various stakeholders.

The workshop will help participants understand various types of interpersonal communication and communication styles, adapting messages to suit the audience and identified communication channels.

Pre-workshop requirement

Prior to attending this workshop, participants are required to complete an online component. This will consist of 1 – 2 hours of online activities to introduce participants to the theories and concepts covered during the workshop and must be completed three business days before the workshop.

To ensure participants attending a public session or an in-house session are prepared for the workshop, they cannot be substituted three working days beforehand.

Access to the online component will be sent to all registered participants one week prior to the workshop taking place.
